1. OSHO: The Book of Women (Author: OSHO)

The Book of Woman delves into the mystique that is a woman. We get a view of woman as understood by Osho. The book goes into all the details of womanhood and explains all the functions of a woman. The topic is dealt with great sensitivity and vividness.

Osho talks about relationships, family, motherhood, birth control; all the issues that are central to the existence of a woman. A woman should not try to ape a man. She has an existence of her own and she should revel in her feminity and not be repulsed by it. Harmony in life can be achieved by a synchronisation between head and heart. The heart should rule a woman all the time and the head should follow and supply it with reason.

Osho reviles the institution of marriage and calls it a shackle for a woman. Men use marriage to monopolise women and limit her. Osho concludes by saying that woman is a mystery and even trying to unravel the mystery would be a big mistake on the part of a man. It is better to let her remain a beautiful mystery and enjoy the parts nature allows you play as a Man or a Woman.

Although the book is about Women, it can be read by a sensitive person of any gender.

१. मैं मृत्यु सिखाता हूँ। 
ओशो कहते हैं – ‘मैं मृत्‍यु सिखाता हूं। लेकिन इसका मतलब यह नहीं कि मैं जीवन का विरोधी हूं।’ उनके लिए जीवन और मृत्‍यु के भय से त्रस्‍त लोगों ने भाग-भागकर जीवन के पलड़े में घुसना और उसी में सवार हो जाना अपना लक्ष्‍य बना लिया। नतीजा यह हुआ कि जीवन का पल फिर निसर्ग को उस संतुलन को ठीक करने के लिए आगे आना होता है इससे आपको मृत्‍यु और अधिक भयकारी लगने लगती है। मृत्‍यु रहस्‍यमय हो जाती है। मृत्‍यु के इसी रहस्‍य को यदि मनुष्‍य समझ ले तो जीवन सफल हो जाए। जीवन के मोह से चिपटना कम हो जाए तो अपराध कम हों। मृत्‍यु से बचने के लिए मनुष्‍य ने क्‍या-क्‍या अपराध किए है। इसे अगर जान लिया जाए तो जीवन और मृत्‍यु का पलड़ा बराबर लगने लगे। इसलिए जब ओशो कहते हैं कि ‘मैं मृत्‍यु सिखाता हूं’ तो लगता है जीवन का सच्‍चा दर्शन तो इस व्‍यक्ति ने पकड़ रखा है, उसी के नजदीक, उसी के विचारों के करीब आपको यह पुस्‍तक ले जाती है। जीवन को सहज, आनंद, मुक्ति और स्‍वच्‍छंदता के साथ जीना है तो इसके लिए आपको मृत्‍यु को जानकर उसके रहस्‍य को समझकर ही चलना होगा। मृत्‍यु को जानना ही जीवन का मर्म पाना है। मृत्‍यु के घर से होकर ही आप सदैव जीवित रहते हैं। उसका आलिंगन जीवन का चरम लक्ष्‍य बना लेने पर मृत्‍यु हार जाती है। इसी दृष्टि हार जाती है। इसी दृष्टि से ओशो की यह पुस्‍तक अर्थवान है।




२. मैं धार्मिकता सिखाता हूँ धर्म नहीं।

में चाहता हूँ की मेरे लोग इस जगत को
हंसी से, ख़ुशी से ,गीतों से ,और नृत्यों से भर दे।
हम किसी स्वर्ग की तलाश में नहीं है,

हमारी तो सारी खोज इस बात की है 
की अभी और यही कैसे स्वर्ग निर्मित किया जाए।

क्योकि मृत्यु के पश्चात्
क्या होगा उसमे हमारी उत्सुकता ही नहीं है।
जब हम यहाँ अभी स्वर्ग बना सकते है,

तो निश्चितही अगर हमारी फिर
नर्क में मुलाक़ात हुई तो हम
वहाँ भी स्वर्ग खड़ा कर देंगे।

मुझे पूरा भरोसा है
की जब मेरे सन्यासी नाचते,
गाते गिटार बजाते,हँसते हुवे
अपने चुटकुले सहित
नर्क में प्रवेश करेंगे,

तो वहाँ का पूरा वातावरण ही
बदल जाएगा,पूरी हवा ही बदल जायगी।
और मेरा सोचना है की शैतान भी तुम्हारे आनंद,
उत्सव में शामिल हो जावेगा।

वह भी सन्यास ले लेगा....
उसका नाम होगा--स्वामी आनंद शैतान...

३. सम्भोग से समाधी तक।

अब तक धर्म के नाम पर जीवन का विरोध ही सिखाया गया है। सच तो यह है कि अब तक का सारा धर्म मृत्‍युवादी है, जीवनवादी नहीं । उसकी दृष्‍टि में मृत्‍यु के बाद जो है, वहीं महत्‍वपूर्ण है, मृत्‍यु के पहले जो है वह महत्‍वपूर्ण नहीं है। अब तक के धर्म की दृष्‍टि में मृत्‍यु की पूजा है, जीवन का सम्‍मान नहीं। जीवन के फूलों का आदर नहीं, मृत्‍यु के कुम्‍हला गये, जा चुके, मिट गये, फूलों की क़ब्रों की , प्रशंसा और श्रद्धा है।

अब तक का सारा धर्मचिंतन कहता है कि मृत्‍यु के बाद क्‍या है—स्‍वर्ग, मोक्ष, मृत्‍यु के पहले क्‍या है। उससे आज तक के धर्म का कोई संबंध नहीं रहा है।

और मैं आपसे कहना चाहता हूं कि मृत्‍यु के पहले जो है, अगर हम उसे ही संभालने मे असमर्थ है, तो मृत्‍यु के बाद जो है उसे हम संभालने में कभी भी समर्थ नहीं हो सकते। मृत्‍यु के पहले जो है अगर वहीं व्‍यर्थ छूट जाता है, तो मृत्‍यु के बाद कभी भी सार्थकता की कोई गुंजाइश, कोई पात्रता हम अपने में पैदा नहीं करा सकेंगे। मृत्‍यु की तैयारी भी इस जीवन में जो आसपास है, मौजूद है उसके द्वारा करनी है। मृत्‍यु के बाद भी अगर कोई लोक है, तो उस लोक में हमें उसी का दर्शन होगा। जो हमने जीवन में अनुभव किया है और निर्मित किया है। लेकिन जीवन को भुला देने की, जीवन को विस्‍मरण कर देने की बात ही अब तक नहीं की गई।

मैं आपसे कहना चाहता हूं कि जीवन के अतिरिक्‍त न कोई परमात्‍मा है, न हो सकता है।

मैं आपसे यह भी कहना चाहता हूं कि जीवन को साध लेना ही धर्म की साधना है और जीवन में ही परम सत्‍य को अनुभव कर लेना मोक्ष को उपल्‍बध कर लेने की पहली सीढ़ी है.. जो जीवन को ही चूक जाता है, वह और सब भी चूक जायेगा, यह निश्‍चित है।......... (किताब में से )

४. एक ओमकार सतनाम।

*कबीर कहते हैं*--

*पोथी पढ़-पढ़ जग मुआ, पंडित हुआ न कोय। ढाई आखर प्रेम का, पढ़ै सो पंडित होय।*

तो नानक ने कहा कि हम भी वही ढाई अक्षर पढ़ेंगे, जिसको पढ़ कर लोग ज्ञान को उपलब्ध हो जाते हैं। अब हम यह इतना लंबा किसलिए पढ़ें!
इस पढ़ाई का तो प्रयोजन भी दूसरा है।
मैंने सुना है, मुल्ला नसरुद्दीन अपने स्कूल जाता था बच्चों को पढ़ाने। अपने गधे पर बैठ कर जाता था। कई वर्षों से उसी गधे पर आ-जा रहा था। स्कूल की हवा गधे को भी लग गयी।एक दिन रास्ते में गधे ने पूछा, मुल्ला! स्कूल किसलिए रोज जाते हो?
मुल्ला पहले तो डरा। फिर उसने सोचा कि कई मैंने बोलने वाले गधे देखे हैं, तो यह गधा भी बोलने वाला गधा मान लेना चाहिए। घबड़ाने की इतनी कोई जरूरत नहीं है। फिर लगता है इसको स्कूल की हवा लग गयी है। गधा बोलने लगा है। अपनी ही भूल है। रोज स्कूल ले जाते रहे, हवा लग गयी।
मुल्ला ने पूछा, क्या करेगा जान कर?
उस गधे ने कहा, मैं जानना चाहता हूं कि रोज स्कूल क्यों जाते हो? जिज्ञासा उठ गयी है।
मुल्ला ने कहा, स्कूल पढ़ाने जाता हूं।
गधे ने पूछा, पढ़ने से क्या होगा?
मुल्ला ने कहा, अक्ल आती है पढ़ने से।
गधे ने पूछा, अक्ल से क्या होगा?
मुल्ला ने कहा, अक्ल से क्या होगा? अक्ल से मैं तुझ पर सवार हूं।
तो गधे ने कहा, फिर मुल्ला, मुझे भी पढ़ा दो और अक्ल दे दो।
मुल्ला ने कहा, ना भाई। क्योंकि फिर तू मुझ पर सवार हो जाएगा। हरगिज नहीं।
इस दुनिया में तो हम जो पढ़ रहे हैं, वह एक-दूसरे पर सवारी करने के उपाय हैं। यहां पढ़ना तुम्हारे संघर्ष का आयोजन है। तुम ठीक से लड़ सकोगे अगर तुम्हारे पास डिग्रियां हैं। तुम दूसरों के कंधों पर सवार हो सकोगे अगर तुम्हारे पास डिग्रियां हैं। ये विद्यालय तुम्हारे हिंसा के फैलाव हैं। इनके कारण तुम ज्यादा कुशलता से शोषण कर सकोगे। दूसरों को व्यवस्था से सता सकोगे। कानून से जुर्म कर सकोगे। नियम से, विधि से वह सब कर सकोगे जो कि नहीं करना चाहिए। सारी पढ़ाई-लिखाई बेईमानी का प्रशिक्षण है। तुम लोगों पर सवार हो सकोगे। इससे कभी कोई ज्ञानी तो नहीं हुआ। इससे ही तो लोग अज्ञानी होते चले जाते हैं। वहां ज्ञान तो कभी घटता नहीं.....................(किताब में से )

५. कृष्णा और हस्ता हुआ धर्म। 

कृष्ण का व्यक्तित्व बहुत अनूठा है। अनूठेपन की पहली बात तो यह है कि कृष्ण हुए तो अतीत में, लेकिन हैं भविष्य के। मनुष्य अभी भी इस योग्य नहीं हो पाया कि कृष्ण का समसामयिक बन सके। अभी भी कृष्ण मनुष्य की समझ से बाहर हैं। भविष्य में ही यह संभव हो पायेगा कि कृष्ण को हम समझ पायें। इसके कुछ कारण हैं।

सबसे बड़ा कारण तो यह है कि कृष्ण अकेले ही ऐसे व्यक्ति हैं जो धर्म की परम गहराइयोंऔर ऊंचाइयों पर होकर भी गंभीर नहीं हैं, उदास नहीं हैं, रोते हुए नहीं हैं। साधारणतः संत का लक्षण ही रोता हुआ होना है। जिंदगी से उदास, हारा हुआ, भागा हुआ। कृष्ण अकेले ही नाचते हुए व्यक्ति हैं। हंसते हुए, गीत गाते हुए। अतीत का सारा धर्म दुखवादी था। कृष्ण को छोड़ दें तो अतीत का सारा धर्म उदास, आंसुओं से भरा हुआ था। हंसता हुआ धर्म, जीवन को समग्र रूप से स्वीकार करने वाला धर्म अभी भी पैदा होने को है।
